This was my first tattoo I chose Chris Schwartz because I was coming here and I noticed how talented he was as a tattoo artist. I live in Meridian Mississippi and to be honest I did not see the talent I saw here. So if you are in Key West, look up Chris or one of his friendly staff for your next tattoo, you will not be disappointed.!

You must be at least 16 years of age. In Florida, you are permitted to get a tattoo with parental consent as minor between the ages of 16-17. If you are a minor or the parent of the minor getting tattooed and booking an appointment, please let us know so we can ensure there is a notary on site at the time of your appointment as the Florida Health Department requires the parental consent form to be notarized. If there is not a notary on site at the time you’d like to get tattooed you can follow this link, print out the form and have it notarized prior to your appointment. Please bring the form (if you have it completed prior to your appointment) and a valid State or Federal Photo ID for both the minor and the parent.
To be tattooed without parental consent, you must be at least 18 years of age. Not only must you be 18, you have to prove it with a valid State or Federal Photo ID. No exceptions.
It depends on the artist, as they all charge by the piece and have different rates. Final price is dependent on size, detail of the design, location on the body where it will be placed, and finally which artist you’ve chosen.
The best way to get an accurate price range is by booking a (free) consultation with the artist. In order for us to quote your idea, we need to consider the subject, size, placement on the body, detail, etc. We unfortunately cannot give price quotes over the phone as each artist charges by the piece and all have different rates.
You are also welcome to come into the shop anytime and talk to one of our artists, if they’re available. We’re always more than happy to help get you the information you need.
It typically takes about two weeks to “heal,” and for you to be able to resume normal activities (swimming, gym, etc.) but it takes months for the skin to fully regenerate.
Every shop has their own recommended care methods. You will be given verbal and written instructions after you’ve been tattooed.
We accept cash and credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express).
We want to give every client the time and attention that you deserve for your service. We understand that sometimes circumstances arise and you need to make adjustments to your plans. If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, we respectfully request at least 48 hours’ notice.
Please understand that your appointment time was set aside just for you. Appointments made within the tattoo shop mean that we’ve reserved space and an artist, specifically for you. We want to make sure that all our clients have the opportunity to receive services. We understand that sometimes life is unpredictable, and so we allow for a 15-minute grace period for late arrival in case you are unexpectedly delayed. If you think you are going to be late, please call us so that we can adjust our schedule. Please understand that if you are repeatedly late, we will charge a $50 fee for tattoo appointments or a 50% service charge for piercings and may require that you rebook your appointment.
We recommend that you eat well before you come in, and remember to stay hydrated.
If you start to feel woozy, we have a vending machine stocked with snacks, water, soda and gatorade. Sugar is your friend in this situation.
Walking around Key West all day in the sun, without drinking any water and then coming to get tattooed on an empty stomach is a sure recipe for passing out.
It’s best not to party the night before because alcohol can increase bleeding for up to 24 hours. Blood also dilutes our pigments, affecting both the appearance of your tattoo as well as the healing process. Remember to stay calm and cool, you’re in good hands. There’s nothing to stress over—it’s just a tattoo!
